Are You Optimized?

Taking businesses to new heights

Is your business healthy going into the New Year, or do you need it elevated to the next level? That’s a question Andrew Boehm, CEO of Elevated SEO and Web Design, asks local small and medium-sized businesses. His answer is that his company, with offices in Omaha and San Francisco, can help market, generate leads, and position businesses to be “seen” by consumers.

With a background in broadcast journalism, marketing, and music promotion, Boehm decided to focus his efforts toward online marketing in 2010. “People are passionate about their businesses, and I’m passionate about helping them market those businesses,” he said. “After four years, we are confident in our business model.” This includes a number of marketing services, primarily in the areas of search engine optimization (SEO), web site development, content writing, and branding.

Search engine optimization is the process of improving a web site using tools such as key words to increase traffic to that site via search engines. “I tell clients it’s about getting their web site listed on the front page of Google,” said Lauren Taylor, Elevated SEO’s lead designer. Although it’s an investment and often takes at least three months to see results, Taylor said it’s one of the most important things a company can do. “They need to be found and seen by customers,” he said.

Google uses algorithms to determine how sites are listed, and those algorithms change frequently. Boehm said they rely on a team of SEO experts and other programmers for their projects, which is handled out of their San Francisco office. He and Taylor focus on sales with new and existing customers as well as all of the design work for ads, logos, and web sites, which they can host internally.

Boehm said their ideal client is one they can develop an ongoing relationship with and have a holistic approach, no matter what their needs. “Businesses are more cognizant of their brands and what their company represents, so we offer the elevated marketing blueprint,” he said. “We take a snapshot of your business and help you figure out your mission, vision, value statement, target market, logo, and even company colors. But we try to make it all a simple process, starting with the message, and develop the campaign around that.”

Another service Elevated SEO offers is a full online lead generation campaign for businesses, called The Local Touch, http://www.localtouch.co. “We are professional problem solvers,” Boehm said. “Different businesses have different needs, and we want to be the one stop shop for those needs.” A separate web site was created just for this service. “We move at the speed of technology and try to stay on trend. We’re here to serve businesses, and our services fill the needs of business owners who don’t have the time to do it on their own.”

Boehm said a new focus for them in 2015 will be on live education workshops through Google Hangout, Udemy courses, and lunch and learns. “We want to educate companies on marketing techniques through giving back to the business community.” He recently interviewed eight SEO experts from around the world and created a two-hour SEO expert roundtable video that will be available on their web site.

Boehm also hosts a radio show on 95.7 FM called Optimization for Business and Life. “We’re not just an online marketing company,” he said. “We’re business consultants, and it’s important to not just optimize your business, but optimize who you are, what your potential is, and what you can accomplish.”
