The Drink: Pecan Smash
1. What you need: 
  • orange wedge
  • brandied cherries
  • 2 oz. pecan-infused Woodford Reserve
  • 1 oz. brown sugar simple syrup
  • ice
2. Make pecan-infused whiskey two weeks in advance by soaking 2 cups chopped, toasted pecans, cooled in 1 liter of Woodland Reserve, then strain.
3. Add simple syrup and ice to whiskey and stir.
4. Finish with a splash of soda water.
5. Garnish with orange wedge and cherries.
